Percent of Complaints per Policy in 2022 and 2023 per Homeowners Insurance Group

In a recent analysis of homeowners insurance complaints, various trends emerged regarding the percentage of complaints per policy for 2022 and 2023. This data offers insights into the performance and customer satisfaction levels of different insurance groups.

Mercury General Group saw an increase in complaints per policy, rising from 0.03681% in 2022 to 0.02479% in 2023, despite a significant increase in the number of policies written. Similarly, QBE Insurance Group experienced a rise in complaint percentage, moving from 0.00713% in 2022 to 0.02256% in 2023.

SH1 Holdings Group and Nationwide Corp. Group both saw notable increases in their complaint percentages. SH1 Holdings moved from 0.00519% in 2022 to 0.02080% in 2023, while Nationwide increased from 0.00685% to 0.01592% over the same period. American Risk Insurance Company, Inc. also faced a rise in complaints, with its percentage moving from 0.00738% in 2022 to 0.01512% in 2023.

Among the larger insurance groups, Allstate Insurance Group had a significant increase in complaints, jumping from 0.00402% in 2022 to 0.01400% in 2023. Liberty Mutual Group also saw an increase, moving from 0.00479% to 0.00855%. American Family Insurance Group had a similar trend, with complaints rising from 0.00280% to 0.00806%.

Auto Club Enterprises Ins. Group and State Farm Group both experienced increases in their complaint percentages. Auto Club Enterprises rose from 0.00189% in 2022 to 0.00665% in 2023, while State Farm Group increased from 0.00190% to 0.00556%. IAT Reinsurance Company Group, however, saw a decrease, with complaints per policy dropping from 0.00687% to 0.00473%.

Other notable changes include Farmers Insurance Group, which increased from 0.00149% in 2022 to 0.00338% in 2023, and United Services Auto Assn. Group, which rose from 0.00225% to 0.00329%. Travelers Group also saw an increase, moving from 0.00121% to 0.00314%.

In summary, the overall trend indicates an increase in the percentage of complaints per policy across most insurance groups from 2022 to 2023. This data underscores the importance of continuous monitoring and improvement in customer service and policy management within the homeowners insurance industry.
