Owned panels are part of the rebuild only after the limit is raised
A rooftop array you own is often treated as part of the dwelling, Coverage A. That only helps if Coverage A is high enough to rebuild the roof and the panels. A leased array usually belongs to the leasing company. Your policy may still see a liability claim. It often does not owe that company a new system. Tell the carrier when the panels go up. Waiting until hail is how the limit still describes the old roof.
The same hailstorm’s broken glass is still the house, and it shares that deductible: window replacement. A pool is the other thing people file in the wrong section: swimming pools. Size the dwelling: how to determine Texas home insurance. The coverages: homeowners coverage. The product: Texas homeowners.
