Texas · A brand is not a score
This is not a State Farm rating. There is no complaint index, no financial-strength grade, and no “best of” list here. State Farm sells through its own agents. Freedom Insurance Group does not shop or bind State Farm.
A captive, or exclusive, agent represents one company. If you want that company’s policy, you talk to that company’s agent. An independent agency can submit you to more than one market it is appointed with. That does not guarantee a placement or a lower price. It also does not reach a company that only sells through its own agents. The coverage question is the same either way. On the auto policy, “full coverage” is liability plus collision plus comprehensive. The Texas floor is 30/60/25, and that floor does not repair your car. On the house, Coverage A is rebuild cost, not the sale price. A percentage hail deductible is a percent of that limit. Flood is not included. A credit-based insurance score can change the price. It does not change the coverage. Compare those lines, not a slogan.
Read the contract, whoever writes it: Texas auto, what homeowners covers, and the dwelling limit. Shop the same limits: the shopping guide. What the regulator actually does: TDI. Price levers that are real: what can change a premium and an insurance score.
