Cheapest Cars to Insure in Colorado: Rating Factors Explained

There is no honest list of the cheapest cars to insure

Insurers price the car from how often that model is stolen, how badly it protects people in a crash, and what the parts cost. A low sticker price can still be expensive to insure if the bumper is costly or the model is stolen often. Your ZIP code, your driving record, and the deductibles usually move the quote more than the badge on the trunk. This page does not invent a statewide average or a top ten.

Hail is why comprehensive matters in Colorado. Comprehensive pays hail, theft, and flood to the car, after its deductible. Collision pays a crash, after its deductible. Liability is the legal floor: $25,000 bodily injury per person, $50,000 per accident, and $15,000 property damage. That floor does not repair your car. “Full coverage” means liability plus collision plus comprehensive. It does not include rental or gap unless those are listed. A cheaper car with no comprehensive is not “cheap to insure.” It is uninsured for hail.

A credit-based insurance score can change the Colorado premium. It is not a FICO score, and it does not add a coverage. Compare two cars only when the limits and the deductibles match. Otherwise you are comparing different contracts.

Colorado options: Colorado car insurance. The floor, in the law sense: Colorado car insurance laws. The house, which is a different hail deductible: Colorado homeowners.

Quote the same liability, the same collision deductible, and the same comprehensive deductible on each car. Start an auto quote or ask an agent.
