Texas · Color is not a rating factor
A red car does not cost more to insure. The coverages you buy do.
Personal auto rating uses who drives, the record, the ZIP, how the car is used, the make, model, and year, and the limits and deductibles. Paint is not on that list. A credit-based insurance score, where the carrier uses one, changes the price. It is not a FICO score, and it does not add or remove a coverage. There is no statewide average in this page and no percent off for picking silver.
What the car itself does to the price is the cost to repair it and how often that model is stolen or crashed, not the brochure color. How carriers actually price: cómo deciden qué cobrar, in Spanish, and in English the Texas rates guide and cost overview. How much limit to buy, without a fake number: how much car insurance you need. The policy: car insurance in Texas and Texas auto.
